Book 1: Passing Through Water
Houston Rocket's star player, Bad Boy Joshua Keys, and his wife Bella Keys have weathered quite a few storms. Her childhood trauma and poor choices resulting from it. His fake paternity suits, fights on and off the basketball court― fights that always somehow seemed to revolve around Bella. Then there were the legal fees the payouts, and the groupies― they made it through all of that. Bella feels like she’s running from one hurricane right into the crushing arms of the next, but these days Joshua Keys is living for the Lord. He looks the same, he smells the same, the intense emotions he ignites inside of Bella are definitely the same, but the old Bad Boy Joshua Keys is gone. After a night of passion and rekindled love, Joshua discovers Bella’s shocking truth. Now the cat’s out the bag and Bella‘s waiting for Hurricane Joshua to blow. In this modern-day adaptation, if Bella can open her eyes to the truth she just might see that the man who was once a hurricane has become a soft place to land after the storm.

Things are finally looking up for Bella. It looks like she can finally get back everything that the fire took. Until an old enemy from Bella’s past resurfaces, along with tragic news from back home. Catrina J. Sparkman is a playwright and author of multiple works of fiction and non-fiction. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelors of Arts in English, Creative Writing and a Masters in African American Studies. Catrina teaches Theatre and Drama at the University of Wisconsin. She also works as a content writer, a theatrical consultant, workshop trainer, and public speaker for various national and international organizations. She makes her home in Madison, WI with her husband, Wesley Sparkman and their three beautiful children.
